Janice K. Lenehan

Janice Kay Lenehan, 62, of Deerfield, died September 7, 2014 after a brief illness surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Manchester on December 17, 1951, she was the daughter of Edward and Mildred (Lewandowski) Grzywacz. She graduated from Central High School in 1970, earned her bachelor's degree from St. Anselm College in 1974, and received her master's degree from Boston University in 1976.

Prior to retirement, she had been a professor of nursing at the NH Technical Institute in Concord.

She was a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and had served as the PTO president for the town of Deerfield. She was also very active in fundraising for the Deerfield school system. She loved to spend her summers with family on Frye Island in Sebago Lake, Maine. Above all else, she will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister who will be greatly missed.

Family members include her husband of 33 years, Attorney Gary Lenehan of Deerfield; her children, Kathleen Daughan and husband Andrew of Stratham, Timothy Lenehan of Aberdeen, NC, Kevin Lenehan of Jacksonville, NC, Christine Lenehan of Avon, CO; and Mary Lenehan of Manchester; two grandchildren, Karalynn and Brendan Daughan; her siblings, Edward Grzywacz and wife Nancy of Bedford, Richard Grzywacz and wife Johnna of Weare; many nephews, nieces and cousins.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 13, 2014 in the chapel at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm Street, Manchester.
