Janice Somers

Janice Somers, 70, Bedford died August 30, 2006 at Elliot Hospital.

She was born in Medford, MA on November 10, 1935, and the daughter of John and Alice Murray. She had lived in Bedford for most of her life.

She was predeceased by her husband John D. Somers Jr. in 1981. In addition to her family, her passion was caring for children in her home and through her work she has shaped and touched many children's lives over the years. She was known to them as "Grammie Jan".

Family members include 3 daughters; Janice Fitzpatrick and her husband Michael of Candia, Kathleen Yee and her husband James of Goffstown, Maryjane Dolan and her husband Dan of Hampton; 2 sons, John D Somers, III and his wife Jill of Thousand Oaks, CA, and James Somers and his wife Christina of Hooksett; 11 Grandchildren; 2 sisters, Natalie Falgren, and Imelda Boozang, both from Connecticut; 2 sister in laws Cedella Brady and Laverna Hatch both of Massachusetts.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday September 6, 2006 at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 190 Meetinghouse Rd, Bedford, NH.

Burial followed in Blue Hills Cemetery Braintree MA.
