Jason "Jay" A. Johnpier

December 8, 1975 — April 10, 2024

Jason A. “Jay” Johnpier, 48, of Manchester died April 10, 2024 at Elliot Hospital after a brief illness and a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Buffalo, NY on December 8, 1975, he was the son of Dawn M. (Brennan) Rapazza and the late Larry A. Johnpier.  He was educated in New York before attending Chelmsford High School, Chelmsford, MA.  He worked as a mechanic and in facility maintenance with McLane for many years.

Jay was a hardworking, kindhearted man who was always there to help everyone.  He had a very strong will and was a true fighter.  Jay took great pride in working on cars.  He also loved being a DJ and sharing his passion for music with others.   His children were most important in his life and he adored his granddaughter Rylee.  Above all else, he will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, son, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend.  

Family members include his four children, Brandon Johnpier and wife Gracie of NY, Shawn Johnpier of Lowell, MA, Nathan Johnpier of Chelmsford, MA, and Sophia Johnpier of Lowell, MA; one granddaughter, Rylee Johnpier of Lowell, MA; his mother, Dawn Rapazza of Kenmore, NY; one sister, Kathleen Johnpier of Nashua; one brother, Nicholas Johnpier of Loudon; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was predeceased by his father, Larry A. Johnpier in 1985; and his stepfather, Richard “Razz” Rapazza in 2016.

SERVICES:  There are no calling hours.  A Service of Remembrance will take place at 4pm on Sunday, April 14th, at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm ST., corner of North St., Manchester, NH 03104.  Lambert Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.  To leave a message of condolence, please go to www.lambertfuneralhome.com.
