Jay G. Hayes

Jay G. Hayes, 67, of Nashua died July 29, 2006 at Community Hospice House in Merrimack after a long illness.

Born in Manchester on October 14, 1938, he was the son of Henry and Theresa (Ordway) Hayes. He graduated from Central High School in 1957 and from St. Anselm College in 1967. He lived in Manchester most of his life.

He served in the US Army with the 82nd. Airborne Division from 1958 to 1961.

Mr. Hayes worked with the Social Security Administration for many years. He was a member of MENSA.

The family includes his wife of 23 years, Coleen Brady of Nashua; two children, Frank J. Hayes of Glen Burnie, MD and Kerry T. Hayes of Nashua; a sister, Joan Blanchard of Manchester and cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday August 2, 2006 at St. Catherine Church, corner of Webster and Hemlock streets, Manchester.
