Jean-Paul Audet, 84, of Manchester died February 22, 2009 at his residence after a long illness.

Born in Frampton, Quebec on December 20, 1924, he was the son of Adjutor and Rosalia (Audet) Audet. He lived in Manchester many years.

During the Korean War he served in the US Army.

Mr. Audet worked for Public Service Company of New Hampshire for 36 years. He supervised the building of power lines throughout the state. He was also a registered surveyor for the State of New Hampshire and retired as supervisor of surveyors for PSNH. He continued to educate himself during his working career by taking many courses.

He was a member of the Masonic Washington Lodge, the Catholic War Veterans, the National Rife Association and the AARP.

IN HIS LIFE: He enjoyed time spent at his vacation home that he built in Stark, and hunting and fishing.

The family includes his wife of 58 years, Doris E. (Rousseau) Audet of Manchester; three children, Dale Audet and his wife, Carol of Boylston, MA, Diane Audet of Manchester and Marc Audet of Dunbarton; seven grandchildren, Melissa Francoeur, Selina Rienert, Erik Francoeur, Braden Bournival, Samara Audet, Stephen Audet and Shane Audet; one great granddaughter, Autumn Rienert; three sisters, Rita Lacroix and Antonia Bilodeau both of Quebec City, Quebec, and Laure-Aime Audet of Montreal; a brother, Jean-Marc Audet of Montreal; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Adele Audet and by two brothers, Rene Audet and Camillien Audet.

A funeral service was held Thursday, February 26, 2009 in the funeral home. Committal prayers followed in Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
