Jean Thurman Ramsey (89) formerly of Kissimmee, FL, Titusville, FL, Vero Beach, FL, Londonderry, NH, New London, NH, and Orange, NJ, died Saturday, December 7, 2013 at The Arbors in Bedford, NH after a long period of declining health.

Born in Des Moines, lA, February 17, 1924, daughter of Bill and Margaret L. Donahue Thurman and wife to Francis O. Ramsey. Jean was raised in South Orange, NJ, graduated from Columbia High School in 1941 and graduated from Colby Junior College, New London, NH in 1943.

Jean was the Alumnae Director at Colby Junior College, New London, NH, Assistant to the Vice President of Development at Boston University, Boston, MA, Director of Public

Relations and Alumnae Activities at Mount Saint Mary College, Hooksett, NH, was a realtor at Tinkham Realty in Londonderry, NH, until her retirement and move to Florida.

She was a member of the New London Hospital Board of Trustees, member of the Board of Trustees of Colby Sawyer College, New London, NH, volunteer at New London Hospital, Parrish Medical Center and Good Samaritan Village.

Survivors include her sister, Ann Thurman Coombs; stepdaughter and partner, Julie Ramsey and David Crane; stepson and wife, Peter and Patricia Ramsey; stepson and wife, David and Sarah Ramsey; stepson, Kirk Ramsey; grandchildren, Baird, Catherine,

Kelsey, Christian, Jennifer, and Sarah; nieces, Linda and Christine; nephews, Michael, Kingsland, and Robert; her many grandnephews and nieces, and many dear friends in New Hampshire and Florida.

She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Francis O. Ramsey; both her

parents; brother-in-law, Sam; and nephew, Bill.

The family is grateful for the loving care she received at Good Samaritan Village in Kissimmee, FL and The Arbors in Bedford, NH

A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 14, 2013 in the chapel at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, Manchester, NH.
