Jeanette Cayer

Sister Jeanette Cayer, C.S.C. (Sr. Therese-Martin), 99, of 357 Island Pond Rd., Manchester, died October 13, 2004, at the Holy Cross Health Center after a lengthy illness.

Born in New Bedford, MA, April 9, 1905, she was the daughter of Louis and Azilda (Desjardins) Cayer.

She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of Holy Cross in 1929 and made her final profession in 1936. She served in the Congregation for 75 years.

Sister Jeanette earned a BA degree from Notre Dame College. She taught in elementary schools and had been stationed in Nashua and Manchester, NH, Adams and New Bedford, MA, and in North Grosvenordale, CT .

Before retiring to St. George Manor, Sr. Jeanette was stationed at Holy Infant Parish in Nashua.

Family members include a sister, Bernadette Cayer; and nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Friday October 15, 2004 in the chapel of St. George Manor. Burial followed in St. Augustin Cemetery.

Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester, was in charge of arrangements.
