Jeanne Irene Dennehy

July 8, 1928 — January 4, 2008

Jeanne Dennehy, 79, of Manchester, died January 4, 2008, at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born in Manchester July 8, 1928, and was the daughter of Absolon and Blanche (Duhamel) Laferriere. She was a lifelong resident of this city.

Mrs. Dennehy was a graduate of the former Notre Dame Hospital School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse and had worked for Notre Dame Hospital and Catholic Medical Center.

She was an active member of the former St. John the Baptist Church. She also had been active with the Catholic Youth Organization and Girl Scouts. In addition, she volunteered with the American Red Cross.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a caregiver to both family and friends. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, and traveling with her family.

She leaves her husband of 56 years, William T. Dennehy, of Manchester; their four daughters, Kathleen Morin and her husband, Laurent, of Goffstown, Deborah Walsh and her husband, Charles, of Nottingham, Linda Williams and her husband, Leonard, of Hooksett, and Mary Cronin and her husband, Paul, of Goffstown; four grandchildren, Timothy and Jamison Morin, and Nathan and Lauren Williams; two sisters, Phyllis Desroche, of Merrimack, and Jackie Lessard, of Concord; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday January 8, 2008 at Parish of the Transfiguration. A committal service followed in Mt. Calvary Mausoleum. Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
