Jeanne L. McDonough, 61, of Manchester, died June 20th, 2011 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Manchester on April 9, 1950, the daughter of Leon and Lillian (Deshaines) Gionet. She was educated locally and graduated from Manchester High School West, class of 1968.

Most recently, Jeanne had been employed by the Scott Lawson Insurance Group in Concord. Previously, she had worked for A.I.G. in Bedford and Boston, the Firemen's Fund Insurance Group in Bedford and Manchester and the American Mutual Insurance Company.

She enjoyed shopping with her sisters, playing cards, dancing and spending time at the beach. Above all else, she will be remembered as a loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother who cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren.

Family members include her husband of 39 years, Richard McDonough of Manchester; one son, Sean McDonough and his wife Sheila of Nottingham; three granddaughters, Taylor, Erin, and Katelin McDonough, all of Nottingham; her mother, Lillian Gionet of Manchester; her siblings, Jacqueline Daigneault and husband Steve of Manchester, Claire Dodge and husband Jim of New Boston, Doris Skladony and husband Jim of Goffstown, Paul Gionet of New Boston, Annette Hanson and husband Mark of Charlotte, NC; many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Thursday, June 23, 2011 in St. Pius X Church, Candia Road. Burial followed in the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the VNA Home, Health & Hospice Program, 33 So. Commercial St, Manchester, NH 03101.
