Jeanne Frances (Simoneau) Messier, 89, died February 21, 2022 after a brief illness.
Born in Manchester on September 12, 1932, she was the daughter of Ludger and Laura (Saindon) Simoneau. She attended Manchester schools and was a graduate of St. Anthony High School.
She was employed by Mass Mutual Financial Group as a bookkeeper and retired in 1991 after over 30 years of service. After retirement, she also volunteered at the CMC and the Elliot Hospital for many years.
Jeanne loved to walk. She always wanted to keep moving. In her younger years, she enjoyed ice skating and dancing.
She was predeceased by her brother, Reginald Simoneau.
Family member include her son, Paul Messier and wife Liza of Manchester; her daughter, Lisa Guppy and partner Kerry Casler of Carrabassett Valley, ME. ; two grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Jeannine Simoneau of Manchester; nephews, nieces and cousins.
A celebration of Jeanne's life will be announced in the spring.
Memorial donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
