Jeanne G. Monty

Jeanne G. Monty, 93, of Manchester died Thursday May 25, 2023 at Catholic Medical Center after a period of declining health.

Born October 17, 1929 in Manchester, she was the daughter of Gideon & Rhea (Dussault) Morency.  She attended local schools and went on to work in the mills at Pandora Industries and Cushcraft.

Jeanne enjoyed baking, sewing, and spending time with friends and family.  In her younger years she was a member of the Columbiettes.  She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament church.

Jeanne is survived by her husband of more than 70 years, Joseph Robert Monty of Manchester; her children Linda Racette & her husband Michael, Kenneth Monty, and Jennifer Young, all of Manchester; and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her siblings Adrien Morency, Roland Morency, Rita Morrissette, Cecile Nieman, & Gilberte Lover.

SERVICES: A visitation for Jeanne will be Saturday June 10th from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Blessed Sacrament Church, 14 Elm St., Manchester, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial there at 10:30 am.  Committal will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
