She was born in Manchester on December 1, 1928 to Jean-Marie and Elisabeth (Biron) Duval. She was educated in Manchester parochial schools.
She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary in Hudson in 1948, pronounced her first vows in 1951 and made her final profession in 1956.
Sr. Jeanne taught in parochial elementary schools in Rhode Island. In retirement, she was actively involved in community services as a cook and driver.
She will be remembered for her dedication, gentleness and compassion.
The family includes two sisters, Fernande Duval and Annette Duval both of Manchester and cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, August 6, 2012 in the Resurrection Chapel of St. Marie Residence, 495 Mammoth Rd., Manchester. Burial was in Presentation of Mary Cemetery in Hudson.
Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, Manchester assisted with arrangements.
