Sr. Jeanne Louise, PM (Sr. Noella Charlebois), 90, of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary, Manchester, NH died May 17, 2006.
Born in Northampton, MA on December 24, 1915, she was the daughter of Jean and Marie-Jeanne (Lebeau) Charlebois. She entered the Order of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary in 1936, made her first profession in 1938 and her final profession in 1943.
Sr. Jeanne Louise earned a bachelor's degree in education from Rivier College in Nashua, NH and did post graduate studies at Catholic Teachers College in Rhode Island. She earned a master's degree in religious studies from St. Michael's College, Winooski, VT.
She taught at parochial elementary schools in New Hampshire at Guardian Angel, Berlin; St. Benedict, Cascade and St. Edmond, Manchester. She served as local superior at Guardian Angel and was CCD coordinator and mentor at CCD programs in the Diocese of Manchester.
She will be remembered for her dedication, gentleness and compassion toward her students, sisters and the elderly and poor families from the Keane Deanery. She retired to Manchester, NH in 1999.
The family includes two brothers, John Charlebois of Northampton, MA and Roland Charlebois of Arlington, VA; a sister, Theresa Charlebois of Northampton, MA and cousins and nieces.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Monday May 22, 2006 in the chapel at St. Marie Residence. Burial was in Presentation of Mary Cemetery, Hudson, NH.
Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester, NH was in charge of arrangements.
