She was born in East Broughton, Quebec, May 20, 1919, and was the daughter of Napoleon and Isola (LaGrange) Marcoux. She had been a Manchester resident most of her life.
Mrs. Demers worked for St. Anselm College for several years.
She was a longtime communicant of St. Marie Church and a former member of the Sodality of St. Anne.
She was married to Gerard L. Demers, who died in 1970.
She leaves two sons, Raymond G. Demers, of Manchester, and Ronald A. Demers, of Rockland, ME; six grandchildren, Jeffrey A. Demers, Dana A. Demers, both of Manchester, Jennifer S. Munson, of Rockland, ME, Peter G. Demers, of Jupiter, FL, Raymond G. Demers II, and Kathleen C. Demers, both of Manchester; two great grandsons, Davie R. Munson and Wyatt L. Munson, both of Rockland, ME; several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday January 25, 2008 at St. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave., Manchester. A committal service followed in Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
