Jeannette B. (Chalifour) Filteau, 69, of Manchester, died September 10th, 2004 at her residence after a short illness.
She was born in Manchester on October 24, 1934, the daughter of George A. and Marie A. (Chauvette) Chalifour. She was a graduate of St. Marie High School.
Until her retirement, she had been employed as a bookkeeper by Tarrytown Internal Medicine. She was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Ladies Auxillary.
She was a longtime communicant of St. Edmond Church and volunteered on the Bereavement Meal Committee. She was predeceased by her sister Lucille Perron.
Members of her family include her husband of 49 years, Roland H. Filteau of Manchester; 3 sons, Donald G. Filteau of Bedford, Gerard R. Filteau of Bow, and Marc D. Filteau of Manchester; One daughter, Rita P. Corriveau of Manchester; 5 grandchildren Renee and Richelle Corriveau of Manchester, Nolan and Justin Filteau of Bow and Drew Filteau of Bedford; One brother Maurice Chalifour of Florida; 2 sisters Lorette Fortier of Manchester and Pauline Cassidy of Manchester; Many nephews and nieces.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated at the Parish of the Transfiguration on Tuesday September 14, 2004. After cremation, urn burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
