Jeannette Jutras Gagne

Born in Manchester on May 21, 1917, she was the daughter of Frederick and Roseanna (Cormier) Clement. She was a graduate of West High School in 1935 and earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Florida in 1980.

She was the owner of Jutras Market in Manchester from 1958 to 1971. She also worked as a substitute teacher for the Londonderry School District for many years and served as a checklist supervisor in Ward 7 in Manchester.

Mrs. Gagne later lived in Lantana, FL for 28 years and worked as a substitute teacher in the Lantana School District.

She was an avid bingo and whist player and enjoyed dancing and traveling.

She was predeceased by her first husband, former Manchester Alderman Roland H. Jutras and by her second husband, Russell A. Gagne.

IN HER LIFE: The family includes a son, Roland "Beaver" Jutras and his wife Claire of Meredith; four daughters, Lorraine McDonough and her husband Hubert Jr. of Manchester, Paulette Tancrede and her husband Jean of Katy, TX, Pauline Cote of Bedford and Diane Baroody of Manchester; 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; four step sons, Gerry Gagne of Bedford, Joey Gagne of Methuen, MA, Russell Gagne of Boston, MA and Norman Gagne of Reading, MA; a step daughter, Joanne Therrien of Chelmsford, MA; a brother, Armand Clement of Lewiston, ME; many step grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by a brother, Robert "Curley" Clement; a son in law, Ray Cote and a step daughter, Jackylin Smith.

A memorial Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday March 5, 2007 at St. Anne-St.Augustin Church, 383 Beech St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed in the chapel of St. Augustin Cemetery, South Beech St., Manchester.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Precious Blood Monastery, 700 Bridge St., Manchester 03104.

Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester assisted the family with arrangements.
