Sr. Jeannette Rita LeHoullier, CSC (Sr. Mary Paul-Raymond), 93, of the Sisters of Holy Cross in Manchester, died July 25, 2018.
She was born in Somersworth on May 19, 1925, the 4th daughter of Donat and Alphonsine (Rouleau) LeHoullier.
She professed her final vows in 1953 and served the Congregation of the Sister of Holy Cross for 71 years.
She earned her BS at Notre Dame College in Manchester and her MS at Catholic University in Washington, DC.
Sr. Jeannette taught for many years in elementary and high schools under the direction of Sisters of Holy Cross in New Hampshire at Nashua, Rollinsford and Gonic and in New Bedford, MA. She then became provincial secretary for 14 years. She also served on a short assignment of five months in the Archdiocesan Office in Anchorage, AK, followed by 20 years at Notre Dame College in Manchester. From 1998-2010, she volunteered in Thonotosassa, FL doing secretarial work in an agency under the Sisters of Holy Cross for abused and neglected children.
She was predeceased by a brother, Raymond LeHoullier, and her four sisters, Laurette (Brown) La Branche, Bertha (Toussaint) Heon, Irene LeHoullier, and Ida (Gauthier) Fillion.
The family include a sister, Pauline Dumont from So. Portland, ME and numerous nephews, nieces and grand and great grand nephews and nieces.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, August 1, 2018. Committal prayers followed at St. Augustin Cemetery, South Beech Street, Manchester.
