Jeannine was born on February 7, 1929 to parents Edmond and Albertine (Champeau) Dugre of Quebec.
She first met her beloved husband Dr. Yves A. Girard at the Carousel Dance Hall following his return from World War II. That first dance and the many more that followed were among Jeannine's most treasured memories.
Both Yves and Jeannine enjoyed an active lifestyle, were avid golfers and long time members of the Manchester Country Club.
Jeannine was active in Notre Dame Associates, a ladies guild serving Manchester hospitals. She worked for many decades at Macy's. Jeannine had a great love of nature and in leisure time painted watercolor scenes of birds and the New Hampshire countryside. She also loved to travel with family and friends.
Left in cherishing memory are her daughter, Lisa Tarbell and her husband Jeffery of Bedford, NH; a son, Gregory M. Girard and his wife Jami of Bedford, NH; daughter, Paula Fox and her husband James of Virginia; daughter, Louise Cummings and her husband Michael of Andover, MA; daughter, Melissa Taylor and her husband Kieran of Winchester MA; nine grandchildren, Shane Wood, Chris Cummings, Kyle Tarbell, Andrew Cummings, Matthew Cummings, Kristen Tarbell, William and Chelsea Girard, Madeline Taylor and a brother, Maurice Dugre of Orlando FL.
She was predeceased by her brothers Dr. Paul Dugre and Gerry Dugre.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at St Elizabeth Seton Church, 190 Meetinghouse Rd, Bedford, NH.
