Jenny Marie Lynch (Dalo, Roy), 46, of Manchester, died January 9, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
Born to George A. and Kim E. (Allen) Roy, halfway to Christmas in 1978. The significance of this day set off a love of holidays (and shopping) that continued throughout her life. Along the way, she discovered many more things to love. She was a graduate of West High School and was born into the role of babysitter, being the first grandchild on both sides of her family. This along with watching the Von Trapp family in the Sound of Music countless times may have been the inspiration for her ambitious career in early education.
Jenny’s passion for learning is documented with her degrees in Human Development, Learning Disabilities, Emotional Behavioral Disorders, and CAGS in Educational Leadership, as well as the many certificate programs on Educational/Assistive Technology and Autism. She obtained her Bachelors’ and two Master Degrees from Rivier College (University) and her CAGS from New England College. Her career as an educator and eventually an administrator touched schools in Hopkinton, Manchester, Weare, and Brookline, NH. Teaching gave Jenny the wisdom to see the gifts children bring to the lives of those who are fortunate to share their time with them.
Stepping away from the school days, Jenny could often be found in her craft room creating works of art made into thoughtful and fun gifts cherished by their recipients. Whether shopping or creating, she was skilled at giving the best presents. Through creativity and gifting, she found photography was an art that was also a gift in return. Jenny spent many weekends taking photos of the animals and wildlife at her parents farm. The farm was a place she felt peace, which was interrupted from time to time when she had to stop her always happy dog Lexie from the next bit of mischief she managed to get into.
Cancer may have shortened the length of Jenny’s years, but it did not diminish the quality of her life. She used long treatments as an opportunity to play games and word puzzles. There wasn’t a game or puzzle she wouldn’t try to master. Her game nights were a sure way to bring out humor, fun, and plenty of laughter. Above all else, Jenny will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, step mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, friend and educator.
Family members include Jenny’s husband of 10 years, Mark D. Lynch of Manchester; her parents, Kim E. and George A. Roy of Deering; two step children, Shaun Lynch of Hudson, Caitlin Lynch of Florida; one sister, Christy L. Roy and significant other, Ernie Gillan of Deering; and maternal grandfather, Bruce Allen; and many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and In-Laws. Jenny was predeceased by her husband Larry Dalo, Jr. in 2005.
