Jess D. (J.D.) Bowman

Jess Donald (J.D.) Bowman (74), Hooksett, NH, passed away peacefully at his home on March 9, 2023 of natural causes.

J.D. was born November 3, 1948 in Maryville, Missouri to Donald and Juel Bowman. He graduated from Fairfax RIII High School, in Fairfax, Missouri, class of 1966. In 1968 he married Sally Hunter, also of Fairfax, Missouri, and the two were married for 54 years.

He farmed his family land in Atchison County, Missouri for 24 years before retiring from farming. He then became a licensed Pharmacy Technician working first as a Veterinary Technician for his daughter in Murrieta, California, then with Walmart in Manchester, New Hampshire until his passing.

J.D. is survived by his wife Sally Bowman, of the home, son Michael Bowman, daughter Dr. Kelly Bowman and son-in-law Dominic DiBenedetto. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law Nancy and Ernest Hafner, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

J.D. was a lover of animals including their dog Zoe, and grand dogs Clover, Stewart, and Ruby.

Per J.D.’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or services.  Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
