Jesse James Carrier

April 5, 1978 — January 9, 2021

We lost Jesse James Carrier, 42, of Manchester, NH on January 9, 2021 when he succumbed to a long battle of depression and alcohol abuse.

Born in Manchester on April 5, 1978, he was the son of John and Sylvia (Lesmerises) Carrier. He was raised in Bedford in a small community on what at the time was a dead-end street, where neighbors became extended family.

He was educated in the Bedford school system and attended Manchester High School West.

Most recently, he had been employed by Great New Hampshire Restaurants in Bedford. Jesse had a passion for cooking and extended his family still with co-workers on the line that became brothers outside of the kitchen.

Jesse enjoyed gaming, and would take the time to show anyone interested learning a game how to strategize and play.
Family members include his parents of Sarasota, FL; one sister, Tanya Orr and husband Michael of Manchester; one brother, Matthew Carrier and partner Rochelle of Cape Coral, FL; nephews, Jacob Frazier, Taylor Frazier, Avery Frazier, Spencer Frazier, Elijah Carrier; grand-nephews and grand-nieces.

Jesse loved and was loved by so many. How we lost him will not define our memories of him, but we are using this opportunity to urge all to take care of your mental health. Jesse chose self-medication rather than treatment. We didn't lose him due to a lack of love and support, we lost him to an untreated and relentless disease. If you are struggling, you are not alone. Please access care.

Due to the current pandemic, a celebration of Jesse's life will be held remotely via Zoom on Sunday, January 17th. The session will be open, and family will be in attendance, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm for those that want to share memories of Jesse. You are free to pop in for a short while, or stay the whole time.
