Jo-Ann D. Martin

Born in Manchester on November 19, 1948, she was the daughter of William and Rita (Guillemette) Ballas. She was educated in the local schools and attended Memorial High School.

Jo-Ann loved travelling with her husband, playing bingo and wintering in Florida. Above all else, she will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

Family members include her husband of 47 years Andre "Andy" Martin of Manchester; three sons, Derek Martin of Manchester, Keith Martin and wife Kelly of Tampa, FL, Jeff Martin and wife Jackie of Hoboken, NJ; two grandchildren, Drew and Rylee Martin of Tampa; one brother, John Ballas and wife Debbie of Lakeville, MA; two sisters, Phyllis Boisvert of Manchester, Stephanie Whelan and husband Bob of Cape Cod; nephews, nieces, and cousins.

The funeral service was held on Saturday, April 19, 2014 in the chapel at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, Manchester.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Ave, Boston, MA 02215.
