Joan Ruth Artz

Born in Manchester on August 16, 1940, she was the daughter of Harold R. and Ruth (Parkhurst) Artz. She was educated in the local school system and earned her bachelor's degree from Notre Dame College.

Prior to retirement, she had worked as a secretary for the State of NH for many years.

Her recreational activities were snow skiing, swimming, water skiing, and boating.

Family members include her brother-in-law, Jean "Bert" Duval of Punta Gorda, FL; her nephews, Mark Duval and wife Brenda of Shapleigh, ME, John Duval of Amesbury, MA, and Michael Duval and wife Tara of Brainerd, MN; and several cousins who live in New Hampshire.

A service was held on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 in the chapel at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm Street, Manchester. Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.
