Joan C. (Martel) Iworsky, 101, of Manchester died November 18, 2022 surrounded by her family.
Born in Manchester on February 16, 1921, she was the daughter of Emmanuel and Dora (Cayer) Martel.
Prior to retirement, she had worked for the Manchester School District at the Beech Street School.
She had spent the last few years of her life under the loving care of the Mt. Carmel Nursing Home.
She was predeceased by her husband Alexander Iworsky and son David Iworsky as well as siblings Walter “Big Pete” Martel, Deneige “Dee” Dery, Lucille Lesage, Etienette Bellemore, Joseph “Little Pete” Martel, Rolande Corriveau, Gilberte “Gilly” Bergeron, Madeline Anderson, Dorothy Gagnon, Vivian Martineau, Albert Martel, and Aline Wenzel.
She is survived by her son Dennis Iworsky and wife Karen of Amesbury, MA and their children and Joan’s grandchildren Michelle and Mike Patkin and their sons Billy and Timmy, Kim and Greg Luongo and their children Emma and Kason, Greg and Heather Iworsky and their sons Jaxon and Colton, Kristen and Ian Ramey and their children Isaac and Nora. Also, her son David’s son Brook and Heather Iworsky and their children Shaun, Bella, and Lily, and Brook’s mom Ann Sirois. She also had over 53 nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 30th, at 11 am in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Belmont St., Manchester. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Calling hours will be at the rear of St. Anthony’s Church on November 30 from 10:15 am to 11 am before the Mass.
Donations may be made in her memory to Mt. Carmel Nursing Home, 235 Myrtle St., Manchester, NH 03104.
