Joanne E. (Kelly) Belliveau, 76, died April 30, 2021 after brave battle with cancer. Despite years of declining health, Joanne fought with great strength and determination that is truly admired by those who loved her.
She was born in Manchester on August 18, 1944 to Lawrence and Alice (Milne) Kelly. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
Joanne dedicated over 30 years of her career to Trinity High School where she worked as Registrar. Prior to that, she worked several years at the New
England Telephone Company and spent many years running the Toward Marriage program for the Diocese of Manchester.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, Jerry Belliveau of Manchester; her three children, Brian Belliveau of Manchester, Kathleen Pertus and her husband, Aaron, of Ipswich, MA and Daniel Belliveau of Bradenton, FL; her two grandchildren, Leah and Kevin; a brother, Lawrence Kelly and his wife, Shayne, of Manchester; one aunt and several cousins.
Joanne was a dedicated mother and grandmother first and foremost. Everything about her life was focused on ensuring the happiness of her family. She especially loved her role as Grammy. The pride she felt for her grandchildren was evident whenever she spoke of them. The legacy of her kind and gentle spirit will live on forever through them. She was loved by all who knew her and will be terribly missed, but never forgotten.
SERVICES: A walk-through wake with masks, social distancing and limited interaction with the family is Thursday, May 6 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow immediately at 11 a.m. at St. Catherine Church, 267 Webster St., Manchester. Committal prayers will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, 448 Donald St., Bedford.
