Joanne G. Cunningham, 50, of Goffstown, passed away October 7, 2022, at Community Hospice House after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Manchester on January 14, 1972, she was the daughter of Leo G. and Monique L. (Provost)  Gagnon. She was a graduate of Goffstown High School and earned her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Manchester Community College.  She dedicated her career to teaching young children and worked as a kindergarten teacher for many years at Kiddie Corner Learning Center.

Joanne loved to educate children and teaching was her true passion.  She was extremely caring and selfless and would do anything to benefit others.  Above all else, she will be remembered as a devoted and loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, aunt, friend and teacher.

Surviving family members include her mother, Monique L. Gagnon of Goffstown; her husband of 30 years, Thomas C. Cunningham, Sr. of Goffstown; three children, Samantha J. Bachand and husband Nicholas of Deering, Thomas C. Cunningham, Jr. of Goffstown, and Kasaundra J. Cunningham of Goffstown; one grandson, Alaric J. Bachand of Deering; four siblings, Suzanne M. Hjelm and husband David of Belmont, Madeleine A. Couture and husband Richard of Manchester, Louise J. L’Heureux and husband Marc of Allenstown, and Julie G. Lantiegne and husband James of Ventura, CA; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family.  Joanne was predeceased by her father, Leo G. Gagnon.

A special thank you to the staff at the Hospice House for their devotion and special care in this difficult time.

SERVICES:  Calling hours are 7pm to 9pm on Friday at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North St., Manchester, NH 03104.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Saturday at Parish of the Transfiguration, 107 Alsace St., Manchester, NH 03102.
