Joanne C. (Caikauskas) Lombardo, 75, of Manchester, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Manchester, NH, on January 24, 1951, to the late Peter E. and Ethel (Nelson) Caikauskas, Sr.
Joanne devoted her life to caring for others, raising her two children, and later in life working as a caregiver for the Moore Center - providing a loving home for those in her care for over two decades. She valued her family above everything and had a special relationship with her siblings, nieces, nephews, and all of their children - who would visit regularly, helping her with daily tasks. She cherished her time spent with all of them.
Joanne was a passionate animal rights advocate and nature lover. She loved gardening, feeding and caring for the wildlife on her property, and spending quiet time outdoors in her screen house. She loved visiting the beach, particularly Rockport, MA, where she would spend hours collecting sea glass. She spent many years extensively researching and documenting her family genealogy, and collecting treasured historical items and family heirlooms.
She is survived by her son, Steven Lombardo (and his wife Tracy), her daughter, Lori Busatto (and her husband Joseph), her grandsons, Mason Lombardo and Madison Suniga, her brother Richard Caikauskas, her sisters, Ginger Cassidy and Frances Mailhot, and many nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.
Joanne was predeceased by her brother, Peter E. Caikauskas, Jr., of Manchester, NH.
