John J. Bennett

John Joseph Bennett Sr., 49, of Portland, ME died July 31, 2005.

He was born in Lynn, MA on July 20, 1956. He was educated in the Winthrop, MA school system and attended Winthrop High School.

He had previously been employed as an electrician by JCN Construction.

John was an avid sports fan who loved his family very much.

He leaves behind his parents, Robert and Norma (Landry) York of Bedford, NH; two sons, John J. Bennett Jr. of Salem, NH and Matthew Bennett of Rochester, NH; two grandsons, John J. Bennett III of Salem, NH and Jacob Bennett of Salem, NH; 3 brothers, Robert of Manchester, Steven of Bedford, and Christopher of Dover; 4 sisters, Robin of Chichester, NH, Kim of Bedford, NH, Julie of Jupiter, FL, and Nicole of Allenstown, NH; many nephews and nieces.

A mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 190 Meetinghouse Rd. Bedford, NH on Thursday August 11, 2005. Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Manchester.
