He was born in Manchester on June 24, 1923 to Philias and Aneda (Gagne) Bouchard. He was a resident of Manchester for most of his life.
During World II he served in the U.S. Army.
John worked for the U.S. Postal Service for many years. He was a member of the League of 1000 Men of the Precious Blood.
He was predeceased by a son, Richard A. Bouchard in 2012.
The family includes his wife of 68 years, Georgia (Goverinos) Bouchard of Bedford; four children, Roger E. Bouchard of Manchester, Ronald R. Bouchard of Litchfield, Jo-Ann S. Sullivan of Merrimack and Robert J. Bouchard of Concord; 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren; two brothers, Andrew Bouchard and Lucien Bouchard
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at St. Pius X Church, corner of Candia Road and Sarto Street in Manchester. Committal prayers followed at the New Hampshire State Veterans, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Precious Blood Monastery, 700 Bridge St., Manchester.
