John K. Chase

John K. Chase Sr., 67, of Manchester died August 31, 2011 at Hackett Hill Healthcare Center after a long illness.

He was born in Manchester on March 12, 1944 to Kenneth and Dorothy (Colford) Chase. He lived in Manchester most of his life.

He served in the New Hampshire Army National Guard for 32 years and was a marksman shooter.

Mr. Chase was the owner and operator of J & J Plasterers for many years. He had also worked at Associated Concrete Coatings and John Hammond Plasterers. He was a member of the Massachusetts Laborers Association Local 668.

He enjoyed traveling, camping, hunting and snowmobiling. He also enjoyed boating and was a member of the Donzi Boating Club on Lake Winnepesaukee.

The family includes his wife of 46 years, Stella (Coburn) Chase of Manchester; three children, Cheryl, Tammy Villemure and her husband, James, and John Chase Jr. all of Manchester; four grandchildren, Kim Rowe, Bryan Villemure, Alexis Villemure and Felicia Villemure; four siblings, Betty Dustin of Manchester, Kay Savageau and her husband, Bob, of North Carolina, Roberta Rioux and her husband, Bob, of Hawaii, and Kenneth Chase and his wife, Maureen, of Dunbarton; a sister in law, Deborah Webster and her husband, John, of California; and nieces and nephews.

Calling hours were held on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North Street, Manchester.
