John B. Conley, 71, of Bedford died April 24, 2004 at a Bedford Health care facility after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease.
He was born on January 22, 1933, in Boston, MA, the son of James and Mary (McDonald) Conley. He served in the US Army.
Until his retirement he had been employed for 27 years as a pilot for Delta Airlines. He retired from Delta as a Captain. John enjoyed boating, motorcycling, and traveling.
He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Seton Church, Bedford.
Members of his family include his wife of 30 years, Joanne H. (Jordan) Conley of Bedford; two sons, Bruce Conley of Concord, MA and Glenn Conley of Weare, NH; three step-children, Thomas Wallace of Charleston, ME, Laurie Russell of Portland, ME and Warren Wallace Jr. of Lake Bluff, IL; 8 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; His mother-in-law, Hester Skillman of Portsmouth, RI; One sister, Madeline Parsons of Natick, MA; nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in St. Elizabeth Seton Church on Tuesday April 27, 2004. Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.
