John E. Cote

John E. Cote, 68, of Londonderry died December 9, 2004 at Anna Jacques Hospital, Newburyport, MA after a sudden illness.

Born in Shrewsbury, MA on February 15, 1936, he was the son of Wilfrid and Marie (Lavoie) Cote. He lived in Virginia at Stanton and Waynesboro and in Nashua before moving to Londonderry many years ago.

He was a member of the Air Force Reserves and was activated for one year during the Berlin crisis.

Mr. Cote worked as an electronics engineer for many years. He was a communicant of St. Jude Church in Londonderry and had worked on the confirmation program at that parish. He was also involved with the Toward Marriage program at Sacred Heart Church and was a captain for adoration at Blessed Sacrament Church both in Manchester.

The family includes his wife of 45 years, Therese G. (Dion) Cote of Londonderry; four children, Lynn M. Bowers of New Boston, David J. Cote of Tilton, Joseph E. Cote of Nashua and Diane T. Cote of Manchester; four grandchildren; three sisters, Lucille Tod of Rutland, MA, Helen Werme of Spring Hill, FL and Patricia Laughlin of Sutton, MA; two brothers, James Cote of Grafton, MA and William Cote of Kingston, NY; cousins, nieces and nephews.

IN HIS LIFE: He was very supportive of a physically challenged friend, Roger Allen of Waynesboro, VA.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday December 14, 2004 in St. Jude Church, Mammoth Rd., Londonderry.
