John "Jack" T. Quinn, Jr.

John “Jack” T. Quinn, Jr., 86, of Thornton, NH, died Thursday, September 22, 2022, at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH. 

Born October 27, 1935, in Jersey City, NJ, he was the son of Anna (Walsh) & John T. Quinn, Sr.  Jack served his country as a United States Marine achieving the rank of sergeant and earning his GED.  He later earned his bachelor of science in chemical engineering from the Newark College of Engineering. He successfully completed the Program Management Course from the Defense Sytems Management College.  Jack served as the electronics engineer for the quality engineering division, directorate of product assurance. He received numerous accolades for his achievements in support of Operation Desert Shield, Desert Storm, and Desert Farewell.

Jack was a very active person, having run four New York City Marathons, several mini-triathlons, and Disney half-marathons.  He loved Disney Springs for a coffee and walking around with Angela, his chicken wings extra crispy, and his drinks with little ice.  Jack was a grateful recovered alcoholic of 53 years and shared his story with everyone willing to listen.  He loved his wife Angela and his family more than anything.  He was very proud of them, especially his grandchildren.

Jack is survived by the love of his life of 62 years, Angela (Pepe) Quinn of Thornton, NH; his children Jacqueline Quinn-Scibetta & her husband Paul of Bow, Joseph Quinn & his wife Susan of Hightstown, NJ, John T. Quinn III & his wife Lori of Oviedo, FL, Kelly Quinn-Ward & her husband Michael of Quarryville, PA, and Brian Quinn & his wife Laura of South Amboy, NJ; his grandchildren Gabrielle Hildebrand & her husband Tanner, Christian Scibetta, Zachary Scibetta, Patrick Quinn, Ian Quinn, Freyja Quinn, Sean Bridget Quinn, Meredith Quinn, Rachel Ward, Aidan Ward, and; his sister Helen McNamara of Franklin, NJ; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
