John C. LaRochelle, 80, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2026, following complications from Parkinson's disease.

A lifelong resident of Manchester, New Hampshire, John devoted 27 years to the Manchester Fire Department, retiring at the rank of Captain. His service was marked by dedication, quiet pride, and an unwavering commitment to the community he loved.

Together with his beloved wife, Anita, he built a home grounded in love, hard work, and dependability, ensuring his children enjoyed a childhood rich with camping trips, family vacations, and lasting memories. Always ready to lend a hand with a home project or a yard in need of attention, he had a habit of quietly appearing; taking care of what needed doing, and leaving everything better than he found it.

A talented craftsman, John found joy in woodworking and carpentry, transforming plain pieces of wood into treasured keepsakes.

He also believed in the power of everyday kindness, making a point to greet people, he encountered a familiar face or stranger with a wave or a hello.

John is survived by his beloved wife, Anita; his daughters, Liane LaRochelle-Wilson and her husband, Richard, and Paula Robidoux and her husband, James; his granddaughter, Chloe Losh, and her husband, David; his sister, Suzanne Gosselin; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Conrad and Mary LaRochelle.

His family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Mount Carmel Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for the compassionate care provided to John and to his loved ones during his final months.

John's laughter, lessons, and love will remain with his family always.
