John C. Ritzenthaler

John C. Ritzenthaler, Jr., 75, of Manchester, died January 26, 2022 at Cheshire Medical Center in Keene after a long period of declining health.

He was born in San Diego, CA on October 30, 1946 to John and Jean (Clark) Ritzenthaler. He lived in Manchester for most of his life.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968.

John worked as a heavy equipment operator for Active Contracting Company for many years. He was a former member of the Faith Baptist Church and the East Side Club. He had also volunteered at the Manchester Food Bank.

He was predeceased by his wife, Carol (Lund) Ritzenthaler; a daughter, Denise; a grandson, Danny and a great grandson, Braydon.

John is survived by two children, Lisa Connell and her husband, Robert, of Goffstown and Kevin Ritzenthaler of Manchester; two grandchildren, Amy and Michel; two great grandchildren, Mya and Madelyn; two siblings, Patricia Cass and her husband, John, of Milford and David Ritzenthaler of Rochester; one aunt, cousins, nieces and nephews.

SERVICES: A walk-through visitation with masks, social distancing and limited interaction with the family is Monday (1/31) from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester. Private burial is at Pine Grove Cemetery in Manchester.
