John A. Ross

Born in Belmont, MA on November 8, 1935, he was the son of John G. and Dorothy M. (Shedd) Ross. He grew up in Belmont, MA, then lived in Deerfield and Raymond many years before moving to Hooksett four years ago.

Mr. Ross graduated from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in 1959. For many years he was co-owner of the Raymond Drug Store with Frank G. Case. He later worked for the State of New Hampshire as a Pharmacy Inspector with the Board of Pharmacy. He also worked as a pharmacist at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinic and Coll's Pharmacy both in Manchester.

He was a member of the Concord Country Club for many years and the Eastern Star Ransford-Adah #7.

The family includes his wife of 50 years, Cynthia (Prescott) Ross of Hooksett; two children, Scott Prescott Ross of Goffstown and Heather Ross Hart of Attleboro, MA; cousins, nieces and nephews.

IN HIS LIFE: He enjoyed golfing, time spent with his family and was an avid fan of the New England Patriots. The family also includes a son in law, Louis A. Hart and a granddaughter, Lauren MacRae Hart both of Attleboro, MA. He was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth G. Ross.

The funeral was held Friday, June 13, 2008 at the Congregational Church of Hooksett, 5 Veterans Dr., Hooksett. The Rev. David Richardson officiated.
