Johnnie D. Smith

   Johnnie D. Smith, 74, of Manchester, NH, died December 7, 2023 at his home after a long illness.

   He was born in Ft. Worth, TX on July 18, 1949 to James and Adeline (McDade) Smith.

   Johnnie worked as a transportation analyst with East West Gateway Council of Government.  He had been a member of the Ridge Baptist Church in Villa Ridge, MO where he sang, was a greeter and a member of the security team.  He was also a member of Village Bible Church in Amherst, NH.

   He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Ricky Smith.

   Johnnie is survived by his wife of 24 years, Joyce (Morneau) Smith of Manchester, NH; a daughter, Rebecca Atkinson and her husband, Doug, of Mansfield, TX; two grandchildren, Ashley and Jamie Atkinson; three step-children, Christina, Jennifer and Chris; and cousins.

   SERVICES:  A memorial luncheon will take place on January 6, 2024 at 1 p.m. at the Village Bible Church, 25 1/2 Middle St., Amherst.  Donations may be made in Johnnie's memory to the church.

   Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, Manchester, NH is assisting the family with arrangements.
