Jonathan Chickering, 70, of Manchester, died October 23, 2021 surrounded by his family.
Born in Keene on April 3, 1951, he was the son of Robert and Stella (Barry) Chickering. He earned his bachelor's degree from New Hampshire College.
Prior to his honorable discharge, he served in the US Navy prior to also serving in the US Naval Reserve.
He worked many years as a successful self-employed salesman.
Jon enjoyed boating and lobstering, and in his younger years was very involved in his children's athletic activities.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Colleen in 1999.
Family members include his wife of 49 years, Margaret (Monahan) Chickering of Bedford; his son, Robert Chickering and wife Sharon of Manchester; his siblings, Kimberly Gilman of Manchester, Blaine Chickering of Kentucky, and half-brother, Gary of Alabama.
Visiting hours at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, corner of North St, will be Friday, October 29th from 9 to 11 am, followed by a service in the funeral home chapel at 11 am. Burial with military honors will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
