Joseph Oscar Beaudry, 88, of Manchester died January 12, 2003 in his residence after a brief illness.
Born in Manchester on October 28, 1914, he was the son of Alphonse and Alice (Bergeron) Beaudry. He lived in Manchester most of his life.
He served in the U.S. Air Force for 23 years. During World War II he was stationed in Brazil. He later served with NATO in Norway.
Mr. Beaudry worked at Pandora for 15 years and for the U.S. Postal Service for seven years.
He enjoyed mountain climbing. As a member of the Appalachian Mountain Club he climbed all 48 of the 4000 foot mountains in New Hampshire.
The family includes his wife of 56 years, Laurence (Desrochers) Beaudry of Manchester; seven children, Marie Danielle Beaudry of Palo Alto, CA, Martha M. Nash of South Pearl, South Africa, Dennis P. Beaudry and Pierre J. Beaudry both of Manchester, Catherine M. Helie of Deerfield, Mark J. Beaudry of Francestown and David J. Beaudry of Palo Alto, CA; 12 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a brother, Elphege Beaudry of Manchester; a sister, Rita Hovensen of New Britain, CT; cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Thursday January 16, 2003 in St. Therese Church, corner of Calef Rd. and Mitchell St., Manchester. Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
