He was born on December 12, 1920 in St. Valere, Quebec to Henry and Maria (Champagne) Caza. He lived in Manchester most of his life.
During World War II he served in the US Army and was a member of the 371st Field Artillery Battalion and the 1st. Battalion Infantry "The Big Red One". He was trained as a gun crewman and fought in many battles in Algeria, French Morocco, Tunisia, Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe. He received the American Defense Medal, the European African Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon, the Bronze Star Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal.
Mr. Caza later worked as an accountant and a self employed furrier.
The family includes his beloved wife of 58 years, Marjorie (Davison) Caza of Manchester; four daughters, Lynda Caza of Bedford, Karen Caza of Manchester, Brenda Kalpokis of Derry and Dorothy Cazamichaud of Goffstown; three grandchildren; five brothers, Real Caza and Maurice Caza both of Manchester, Lucien Caza of Bedford, Gerry Caza of Goffstown and Robert Champagne of Manchester; several nieces and nephews.
IN HIS LIFE: He was predeceased by two sisters, Lucille Legendre and Claire Rondeau.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave., Manchester on Friday, November 14, 2008. Burial was held Monday, November 17, 2008 at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen.
