Born in Manchester on March 19, 1941, he was the son of Daniel and Geraldine (McLane) Cronin. He lived most of his life in Manchester and had wintered in Dunedin for 13 years.
He served in the US Navy from 1958 to 1963.
Mr. Cronin worked at New England Telephone Company for 30 years and retired as a manager.
He was a member of the Valley of Nashua Shriners, Masonic Bible Lodge 27, Ancient Order of Hibernians William J. Shanahan Division, American Legion Henry J. Sweeney Post 2 and the Telephone Pioneers.
He enjoyed antique cars, airplanes, boating, fishing, golfing and hunting.
IN HIS LIFE: The family includes his wife of 46 years, Marjorie A. (Goodwin) Cronin of Auburn and Dunedin, FL; three sons, Joseph Cronin of Deptford, NJ, Daniel Cronin of Auburn and Neil Cronin of Goffstown; three grandchildren, Marie-Elena Cronin, Jake Cronin and Christina Cronin.
The funeral was held Friday, April 2, 2010 at St. Joseph Cathedral, corner of Pine and Lowell streets, Manchester. Committal prayers followed at St. Joseph Cemetery, 448 Donald St., Bedford.
