Joseph E. Dobbin

Born in Claymont, DE on March 15, 1924, he was the son of Richard and Agnes (Kafline) Dobbin. He grew up in Queens, NY and lived in Wayne, NJ 17 years before moving to Bedford 32 years ago.

During World War II he served in the US Army Air Corps.

Mr. Dobbin worked for Home Insurance Company for many years.

In retirement, he volunteered at Catholic Medical Center for many years.

The family includes his wife of 51 years, Doris M. (Purner) Dobbin of Bedford; three children, Patricia A. Spadaro of Wayne, NJ, Diane K. Rizzi of Pompton Plains, NJ and Kenneth J. Dobbin of Bedford; seven grandchildren; a brother, William Dobbin of Portsmouth, RI; and nieces and nephews.

IN HIS LIFE: He was predeceased by a brother, Richard Dobbin.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 190 Meetinghouse Rd., Bedford. Committal prayers followed at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen
