Joseph E. Splendore

Joseph E. Splendore, 90, of Manchester, NH died October 31, 2016, at the Catholic Medical Center following a brief illness.
He was born in South Boston, MA, on October 27, 1926, the son of Antonio and Maria (Amenta) Splendore.
He was educated in local Boston schools before he entered the US Army in January 1945.
Joseph worked for many years as a Master Cabinet Maker. He enjoyed helping others, working outside in his garden, and was known for planting his upside down tomato plants.
Family includes his beloved wife of 60 years, Lucy "Helen" (Penney) Splendore of Manchester; sister, Rose Freeman of Eastern MA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Memorial Service with Military Honors was held on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 in the chapel at New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH 03303. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: American Heart Association, 2 Wall St., Manchester, NH 03101.
