Joseph E. R. Labore, 83, of Manchester died April 15, 2018 at a local health care facility surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Manchester on May 30, 1934, he was the son of Eugene and Emilienne (Vachon) Labore. He was educated in the local school system. After graduating from high school, he served in the US Army.
Prior to his retirement, he had been employed as a revenue officer for the Internal Revenue Service for many years.
Joe enjoyed playing tennis, camping, visiting Florida and road trips with his wife. Above all else, he will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother who cherished time spent with his family.
He was predeceased by three siblings, Dora Beaule, Henry and Ernest Labore.
Family members include his wife of 60 years, Jeannine I. (Croteau) of Manchester; his children, Richard Labore and wife Cheryl of Manchester, Denis Labore and wife Louise of Manchester, Claire King and husband Patrick of Bayonet Point, FL, Diane Fox of Manchester; his grandchildren, Lindsay Overko and husband Steve, T.J. Labore and wife Amy, Allison Labore, Sarah Labore, Eric Fox, Brian Fox, Kristen Bateman and Nick King; his sister, Laura Duperon of Manchester; many nephews, nieces and cousins.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at St. Anthony Church, Belmont St. Burial followed at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
