Born in Trois Rivieres, Quebec on March 2, 1917, he was the son Thomas and Albertine (Maillette) Martin. He was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
During World War II he served in the US Army Air Corps.
Mr. Martin worked at United Shoe Machinery Company in Beverly, MA for 40 years. He enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Intervale Country Club and the League of 1000 Men of the Precious Blood.
The family includes his wife of 68 years, Evelyn (Doiron) Martin of Manchester; four children, Lorraine Savoie of Merrimack, Thomas Martin of Hohokus, NJ, Ronald Martin of Bedford and Linda Bourque of Manchester; 11 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday April 9, 2007 at St. Anthony Church, 172 Belmont St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
