Joseph F. McNally, 68, of Manchester, died January 14, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Alaska on June 23, 1954, he was the son of John and Hilda McNally. He graduated from Manchester Memorial High School and earned his master’s degree from the University of New Hampshire. Prior to retirement, he had been a teacher in the Raymond, NH school district.
Joseph lived a life of adventure, always striving to create meaningful memories with friends and family. He loved to hike the White Mountains and ski wherever the snow fell. Becoming a father filled him with bonding love that forever changed his life. His tenacity after a devastating spinal cord injury in 1998 was endless and inspiring to so many. He never let his injury dampen his positivity or commitment to making people smile with unique gifts and fun experiences.
Family members include his wife, Heather (Weigle) McNally of Manchester; his daughter, Melanie McNally of Charlestown, MA; his brother, Richard McNally of Maryland.
A celebration of Joseph's life will be private and at a later time.
