He was born in Lawrence, MA June 5, 1925 to Meddy and Emily (Bernard) Myers.
He attended local schools in Lawrence and soon after graduation enlisted in the Army Air Corps. He served during World War II and the Korean Conflict.
He received several awards including a Purple Heart, Occupation Medal, Korean Service Medal with bronze star, and a Presidential Unit Citation. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
He will be remembered as an easygoing guy who was good and kind to all he met. He was also very devoted to his faith. His wife and family were the center of his life.
He leaves his wife, who was his best friend, love of his life and soul mate for 25 years, Carol (Wheeler) Myers of Manchester; his children, Russell Carr of Chester, Robert Carr of Fla., Steven Bouchard of Hudson, and Lisa Pond of Fla.; ten grandchildren, Russ, Tony, Krissy, Kali, Alaina, Lauren, Matthew, Jason, Nick and Kevin; a great granddaughter, Kylie; two sisters, Rita Perry of Tignish, P.E.I., Canada and Anita Richard and her husband, Joseph, of Bedford; several nieces, nephews and cousins.\
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated September 1, 2012 at St. Catherine Church. Burial, with military honors, was in the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
