Joseph S. Tolpin, 44, of Sanford, ME, died suddenly in a tragic car accident on January 15, 2020.
Born in Concord, NH on March 10, 1975 to the late Richard W. Tolpin and Barbara L. (Rosenfield) Tullis. He was a 1993 graduate of Manchester Central High School and attended Dean Jr College, Franklin, MA.
At the age of 19, Joe followed in his father's footsteps into the car business, working at a number of auto dealerships, including his own at one point, in various positions before ending up at Portsmouth Ford as the sales manager. Joe achieved much success in his years in the auto industry always striving to be the best earning trips and other great prizes for he and his family.
Joe had many interests. He loved to golf, fish, and ski. He was so proud and happy when his daughters took up his sport of soccer, and loved watching his oldest excel in the sport and compete competitively. Joe loved to shop as well, and would frequently come home with a new piece of décor for his home. He will be remembered most for his clever humor and gentle demeanor. He could bring a smile to anyone's face, and make a friend anywhere he went. He loved being a father and wanted most for his daughters to be happy and always encouraged them to do their best to succeed.
He is survived by his daughters; Emerson Tolpin and Mayson Tolpin along with their mother Lori (Fortier) Tolpin of Sanford, ME, his mother Barbara Tullis (James) of Londonderry, NH, sister Alyssa Miller (Chris) of Elmhurst, IL, and brother Greg (Christina) of Key Largo, FL as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was pre-deceased by his father Richard Tolpin.
SERVICES: A funeral will take place at 12pm, Monday, January 20, in the chapel at the Manchester Hebrew Cemetery, 245 Beech St, Manchester, NH 03103. Burial to follow.
