Joseph P. Young

Joseph P. Young, 55, of Candia, NH died April 25, 2025 after his giant heart suddenly gave out.

Born in Manchester on March 12, 1970, he was the son of Daniel J. and Jane (Welch) Young. He was a proud graduate of Trinity High School, class of 1989.

Joe was General Manager and partner at Mark’s Discount Truck and Auto Sales in Londonderry NH. He spent decades devoting much of his time to the business.

Joe enjoyed playing golf and was a longtime member of the Derryfield Country Club and the East Manchester Fish and Game Club. He loved following New England sports teams and was also known to have a particular fondness for Miller Lite. He will be remembered for his wry sense of humor, genuine kindness, and his unwavering commitment to family and friends. His unique brand of generosity, often anonymous, touched more lives than any of us know. He will be deeply missed by many.

Family members include his companion, Emily Cavallo and her children, Layla, Autumn, and Ridley of Manchester; his siblings, Daniel J. Young Jr and wife Barb of FL, Beth Ann Donovan and husband Patrick of Goffstown, John Young of FL, Mazie Mills and husband David of Manchester; many nephews, nieces and cousins.

Calling hours at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, Manchester will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 pm. Feel free to dress “Joey casual”. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 am in St. Pius X Church, Candia Road. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.
