Joy A. Deschuiteneer

March 18, 1938 — March 15, 2017

Joy A. DeSchuiteneer, 78, of Manchester, died March 15, 2017 at Hanover Hill Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Manchester on March 18, 1938, the daughter of Edward and Mary (Farris) Hudson. She was educated in the Manchester school system and was a lifelong resident of the Queen City. She graduated from St. Joseph High School for Girls and attended St. Anselm College.

She was co-owner of the Queen City Auto School. She also worked many years for Schonland/Kayem prior to retirement.

Joy was passionate about volunteering and helping others. She loved all of God's creatures, both big and small. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her family.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Hanover Hill Health Care Center for the tremendous care they gave Joy during her stay. They would especially like to thank the staff of the Lee Unit and Robin and Nancy for their care and compassion.

The family includes three daughters, Beth A. Grady of Manchester, Mary F. Helides of Raymond, and Amy F. Balban and companion Bill Morin of Manchester; one son, Richard D. "T" Grady of Manchester; her grandchildren, Richard D. Grady III, Molly M. Helides and her father A. Don Helides, Ally Chase, Tanya Colon, and Shaynon Baker; her siblings, Gale Balon and husband Jack of Bedford, Keith Hudson of Maine. She was predeceased by her son Christopher Edward Grady and two siblings, Geoff and Justine.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 in the chapel at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory 1799 Elm Street, Manchester. Urn burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association of NH, 166 S River Road, Suite 210, Bedford, NH 03110.
